COMMENTARY OF THE WEEK:
I would ask the citizens of Reston not to listen to rumors about the restoration but rather do some research. See how Trout Unlimited has restored streams in order to bring back Cutthroat Salmon in Colorado, Steelhead Trout in New York, or countless other stream restoration projects.

Tips to De-Stress Thanksgiving Cooking
Thanksgiving is the biggest food blow-out of the year. More calories are probably consumed in that single 24-hour feeding frenzy than any other time of the year. Everything with family and friends centers on food and entertaining. It is a time for traditions like roast turkey and dressing with all the trimmings. It is also a time for high-intensity stress for the person who has to do all the planning, cooking, shopping and cleaning.

What's In a Name? That Which We Call a Rose or a Turtle...
Walking through Baltimore-Washington International Airport, I noticed a sign depicting a large angry tortoise tearing through the background of the sign. The caption read, "Fear the Turtle!" Confused, I retreated to the safety of the baggage claim carousel where the only danger I could possibly encounter was drug-sniffing K-9s that rip apart my bag mistaking my athlete's foot powder for cocaine.
